Do You Hate Shopping? I’d love to help.

We are all so busy. Between work and family and social life there isn’t much extra time. I think that is why so many of us choose to shop online. And these pandemic years have made online shopping even more convenient because of the order online and pick up in store options so many stores have added.

But let’s face it, shopping for clothes online can be a crap shoot. Every brand has its own sizing and so you really don’t know if what’s coming is going to fit. On the other hand, who really wants to go to the mall and spend time in the fitting room? It can be really depressing. Know why? Because those clothes weren’t made to fit you. They were made to fit some imaginary woman with the perfect proportions. That woman doesn’t exist. Let me tell you how I know that….

I am a dressmaker/designer and I do a lot of alterations. I alter plenty of wedding gowns for young women who are smaller sizes and they still need the dresses changed at the waist or to take in the hip or change the bust because there is no one who fits the proportions exactly.

So when you are a middle aged woman who has the body of a middle aged woman, or if you are plus size and trying clothes which are not made for you can feel a bit demoralizing. They make you feel frumpy or that something is wrong with your body. The fact is that the problem is with the clothes and not with you.

If you are wanting to lose some weight I say great! You should go for it. But if you are happy with where you are, no matter your size that’s also awesome. There are also some of us who may have health issues which make it very difficult to lose weight but we still want to feel the best that we can. No matter the category you are in, clothes that are made to fit you will always, always, always make a difference in your self confidence.

Going to the office
This is a great look for going to work. It is comfortable while at the same time bringing some color to your day.

Wouldn’t it feel amazing to have some pieces in your closet that accentuate the parts of your body that you love? Some of us have great legs and so a knee length or shorter skirt might be the way to go. Great bottom? You migth want a skirt or slacks that accentuate that. Great breasts? Let’s put the focus there. How about a small waist in proportion to your bust and hips? Then add a wide waist band or belt to cinch it and show it off.

Take a look at yourself in the mirror and spend a little time finding the parts you would love to accentuate and find styles that do that for you.

I would love to help. I’m looking for women who want to break away from hiding their bodies and dress in a way that will help them feel confident while also feeling comfortable. I’m looking for women who are ready to invest in themselves and finally express themselves through their style. Clothing is the first thing people will notice about us and I really think the way you dress can make a huge difference in your business and personal life.
